Note
to owners of Sonar 3 Producer (OEM version "VSampler 3.0 DXi"):
The new
functions which are
marked yellow at all of the version history pages won't
be enabled when running VSampler with an OEM key. To release the
full power of VSampler 3.1 (and all future 3.x versions) those
extra functions can be added within a few minutes by
purchasing
the upgrade online. The complete list of advantages:
Why should I upgrade?
added DRC Pro to allow you to playback instruments of any size,
without being limited by RAM size
added Kontakt import (.NKI instruments and .NKM multis)
added Battery import (.KIT instruments)
added E-MU import (E-MU III and EMU IV CD's)
added Group effects for Zones (new default instead of the "old"
Zone-effects), great e.g. to add different effects to
drums of a drumkit WITHOUT using polyphone (CPU-intensive) Zone-effects
added Mixer Outputs for Zones (DXi/VSTi/Rewire only), great e.g. to
output drums of a drumkit at different sequencer mixer channels, check the new
"Output" selector at the Zones page header
increased maximum mixer outputs from 16 to 32 (DXi/VSTi/Rewire only), either 16
stereo or 32 mono or any mixture
added VSampler instruments file format .VSI (right click at the Instruments Pool
to export selected instruments)
added microtuning support at instruments level, loads
Scala files
added new easy way to preview and load WAV files in one go: in
Quickbrowser view "Disk Browser" you can now e.g. assemble your
drumkit from a directory with hundreds of WAV files by doing "cursor
cursor cursor cursor ENTER cursor cursor ENTER", right click mouse to
set options (e.g. next free key vs. span across entire keyboard)
